DTCC Builds Risk Engine For NYPC

Gary ChanThe Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. is in the process of building a risk margining engine for New York Portfolio Clearing, the initiative it is working on jointly with NYSE Euronext. The initial launch of NYPC will provide a single clearing and settlement platform for both U.S. fixed income securities and futures by combining fixed income capabilities offered by DTCC's Fixed Income Clearing Corp. and futures capabilities from NYSE Liffe U.S. Gary Chan, v.p. at FICC, said the utility will also create a unique interface for NYPC members that will help them track the portfolio, but the majority of the work will be done on the risk ...
