ITG Plans Australia POSIT Launch



Investment Technology Group plans to offer its POSIT Marketplace platform in Australia within the next 30 days, according to Clare Rowsell, head of client relationship management for Asia. Launching the platform could give the brokerage firm a large share of the dark liquidity business in the country when anticipated regulatory changes open up the market to alternative trading systems.

POSIT Marketplace, which launched in the U.S. last March, crosses institutional liquidity from POSIT, its standalone crossing network, with liquidity from other pools anonymously. It cannot connect to dark pools because those aren't legal yet, but it can aggregate orders from brokerages ...
